Still House Tea
A traditional tea service adapted for a contemporary audience to provide relaxation over small cups of tea. Occurring in 20 minute services, our experience invites customers to unwind as they sip slowly and intentionally.
The tea service is conducted in the traditional Chinese gongfu style. Customers choose from four different themed sessions when booking our service: Silence, Soothe, Energize, and Socialize. Each are individually programmed and designed to fit the needs of the day.
The expert tea brewer brings all the equipment in a Still House Tea carrying case.
20 minutes are the perfect time for one to feel mentally refreshed, and our Still House Tea customers enter into a time of digital detoxification during the service.
The experience is a fully guided journey led by the brewer.
Printed information boards detailing the tea of the day and other fun distractible tidbits are at the table for customers who opt for a more reflective, introspective journey.
The RISOgraph machine was used to print all of our paper goods. In print, we incorporate a pastel paper stock to add more warmth and approachability to the materials.
A proprietary typeface, Still House Display, was designed for use in both the logo and throughout the brand communication. The delicate and elegant aspects of the letterforms evoke a subtlety that aligns with the quietness of the sip sessions. Learn more about Still House Display.
Our primary logo is a clean and simple logotype, set in the proprietary typeface. The textured square envelopes the logotype, referencing the “house” in Still House, while providing a human touch to juxtapose against the smooth refined details of the glyphs. The logo also introduces the vibrant hue of the blue that is a defining aspect of the brand.
Secondary marks comprising of the gongfu tea components were created to allow more flexibility of expression while maintaining the same visual language across all the shapes.
RISO-printed postcards for customers and prospective clients.
Embroidered towels used during the tea service.
